The Duties of a CNA - As a crucial member of the healthcare team, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for carrying out numerous tasks aimed at providing optimal patient comfort. These tasks include a wide range of activities that support patients' physical and emotional wellbeing:

• The recording of a patient's vital signs, which includes their temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation rate, is crucial in formulating effective treatment plans.
• Transferring the descriptions of patient ailments articulated into professional language to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Recording patient observations is paramount in creating a complete medical profile for the individual.
• Supporting disabled persons or those with temporary mobility issues in moving or lifting.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• A licensed CNA with no derogatory marks on their record in the state they practice in
• Healthcare professionals must prioritize basic patient care competency skills in order to provide patient-centered care that addresses the unique needs of each individual
• A skillset that includes the ability to navigate electronic medical records and accurately document patient data is beneficial
